Kate Volkman, MA, MBA
Licensed Mental Health Counselor #20993
Kate is passionate about empowering individuals in their search for fulfillment and meaning. She believes that her clients will experience healing when they are embraced and viewed through a lens of dignity. Oftentimes, clients are perplexed by their behaviors or distressed by their emotional realities. Kate walks alongside them with gentle curiosity and compassion, seeking the root of their obstacles in order to gain the freedom they seek to achieve their goals.
As a Central Florida native, Kate is committed to serving the local community. She holds several degrees including: a Bachelors from the University of Central Florida, a Masters in International Business from John Brown University, and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. She has personally experienced extraordinary healing and growth through her own counseling experience which motivates her to provide clients with the same level of care she herself has received.
Kate willingly jumps in the trenches with her clients as they explore the most challenging aspects of their lives. She has worked with diverse populations who have experienced - among other things - anxiety, depression, relational conflict, trauma, sexual/physical/emotional abuse, existential crisis, shame, regret, grief, low self-esteem, poor body image, ADHD, career challenges/direction, and identity formation. The most important part of Kate’s time spent with clients is ensuring that they know she has their best interests at heart regardless of their situation; ultimately, they are not alone.
